CMSniff is the simplest utility to discover or "sniff" for cable modem mac addresses used in cloning modems. it may not be the best way to discover macs but there is not question about its simplicity and it works

to use cmsniff, your computer must be connected directly to a cable modem that has access to the internet. click "start" to being the sniffing and if you have the time let the program run over night to sniff out as many macs as it can but this is not required. in the first couple mins the program should have sniffed out enough macs to satisfy and simply stop the scan. you also have the option to export the scan to a text file to save your results. still no results? try, try again.
